A message from Harvest Market Chair

[Pastor Jen cedes her time this week to Harvest Market chair, Dave Clift, who shares this message.]

Congratulations on another successful Harvest Market weekend! It took hundreds of hours of dedicated effort to bring this event to life, and everyone did an exceptional job! However, our work isn’t complete until we express our gratitude to those who supported us throughout the weekend. A simple email or e-card will suffice, but if you prefer a traditional paper card to send, please let Dave Clift know.

Once again, Dave Williamson’s tent team worked tirelessly to set up seven tents across the Harvest Market grounds. They began their preparations early in the week, ensuring everything was in place by Thursday afternoon. Dave also maintains the Clutter Barn tents throughout the summer months, and we truly appreciate the many hands that contribute to this essential task. With the help of Dan Manz’s fantastic trailer, they managed the logistics of moving tables, stoves for the Soup Tent, and picnic tables from Mills Riverside Park.

A huge thank you goes out to our venue chairs, who year after year provide exceptional products and services. We’ll share more details about their contributions in the future.

We also want to extend our congratulations to our parade honoree, Reverend Arnold Thomas, recognized as the Harvest Market 2024 Community Citizen for his invaluable contributions to the Jericho and Underhill communities. Peter and Kate Mitchell were honored as the Harvest Market 2024 Parade Marshals. Both Peter and Kate have been steadfast supporters since the very first Harvest Market in 1975, and if you’ve ever wondered where all those Harvest Market signs come from, it’s thanks to their handiwork!

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for October 12th at 3 PM and join us at the Mansfield Barn for our 50th anniversary celebration! Bev Frank and Julie Carr have been hard at work to make this a truly special event. Please RSVP to celebration@underhillharvestmarket.com so we can plan accordingly.

The strength of the Harvest Market lies in our belief that God will provide. Through prayer and hard work, this event has endured. We look back on 2024 with fondness as one of our many successful Harvest Markets, and we eagerly anticipate what 2025 will bring!
